Welcome to Wheelock College, where we are very excited to be celebrating our 125th year of improving the lives of children and families. This anniversary year has been filled with special events designed to highlight Wheelock's storied past, celebrate our important mission, and lay the groundwork for our ambitious future plans.
As part of our yearlong anniversary celebration, Wheelock brought together over 500 educators, human rights activists, philanthropists, and world leaders from across the social justice spectrum for the College's inaugural international conference, "Global Challenges and Opportunities Facing Children, Youth Families." Attendees came from 25 states and 41 countries spread over five continents. Since the conference ended, we have continued the conversation about global issues in health, education, and human rights. Join the discussion at our website wheelockglobalcauses.org.
We also have an important new facility on our Boston campus: the Earl Center for Learning and Innovation, which opened in May 2013. Part of the striking three-story, glass-and-steel addition to the Activities East building, the Earl Center is a state-of-the-art facility serving our students and faculty as well as members of the Greater Boston community who work with children and families.
Since its founding 125 years ago, Wheelock has been a truly unique institution, full of people who are driven to make a difference in society. Visit our Video Gallery web page to meet some of our talented students and faculty, learn about some of our programs, explore life in Boston, learn some Wheelock history, and much more.
Better still, visit our beautiful Boston and Brookline campuses to get a real feeling for what Wheelock is all about as we celebrate 125 years of inspiring a world of good. We hope to see you soon.
