Christyanna M. Egun

Christyanna Egun serves as the Director of Boston Partnerships at the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Center for Community Health Improvement. she has spent the last three years advancing the MGH Youth Programs Department, which now provides 350 youth with academic, life, and career skills that expand and enhance their educational and career options. Prior to her work at MGH, she was a member of the executive team at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Massachusetts Bay. During her ten years there, she enhanced the organization's brand management, media and community relations, web marketing, volunteer stewardship and recruitment.

Previously, she was a technology marketing executive at Bronner Slosberg Humphrey in Boston. She began her career in higher education; first as the Associate Director of Admissions for her alma mater. Later she served as an Academic Advisor at the University of Minnesota's Upward Bound College Prep Program. She serves as a Board Member of the Crispus Attucks Child Care Center, as a Trustee of the Edward M. Kennedy Academy for Health Careers, and as a subcommittee member of Governor Deval Patrick's STEM Advisory Council. She holds a Master's degree in Advertising from Emerson College and a BA in Communication Studies from Gustavus Adolphus College.

Amanda Walsh

Amanda Walsh is the Program and Curriculum Manager for the Massachusetts General Hospital Center for Community Health Improvement. Her work is focused on developing and teaching after-school science programs for the 9th- and 10th-grade students in the MGH Youth Scholars Program. She also established the mentor relationships between the 10th-grade students and MGH staff, and created the MGH Summer Fit Club for the students working summer jobs at MGH.

Before coming to MGH in 2009, she worked for the Summer Science Academy of Brigham & Women's Hospital Center for Community Health and & Health Equity, and she was a student teacher at Brighton High School. She received her B.A. in English from Colby College and a Master's Degree in Education from Boston College.
