Ubuntu Arts 2013Imagining Ubuntu: The Youth Speak is the 7th annual exhibit of Ubuntu Arts, which is an ongoing initiative of the Juvenile Justice and Youth Advocacy Program at Wheelock. Through the process of creation and exhibition of individual and collaborative youth art, we aspire to be "part of the solution."

The yearly exhibits are curated from youth artwork that is submitted in response to a call for youth art and from submissions by each of our collaborating youth programs through the Ubuntu Arts Youth Project.

Each year we use the theme of the exhibit to ask our senior capstone students and groups of community-based youth to imagine solutions and to consider the concept of Ubuntu as they develop competencies and express their voices through a variety of artistic media.

The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public and the opening event includes light refreshments and youth performances.
